175 A A When combining the cultural treasures of the Birmingham Museum of Art with the artistry created by Mandy Majerik and her extraordinary team at HotHouse Design Studio, the result is sure to be a masterpiece. Rustic elements mixed with contemporary design make for a stately event to impress. The Carolina Herrara bridal gown from The White Room captures the eye with white jasmine blooms embroidered on silk and tulle Mikado. The unique bouquet features an antler handle and David Austin roses with a cascade of snowberries and eucalyptus. The groom's suit is accented with a green velvet bowtie and agate slice boutonniere to showcase a touch of style. The stationery suite, artfully designed by Amberly Shelton Paperie, is nothing short of swoon-worthy with deep burgundy hues, a green velvet closure and hand-painted golden details. Draping and a wreath-framed chandelier is the backdrop of the romantic ceremony set with boxwood hedges, candelabras, and an abundance of white flowers. The addition to all the flora and fauna in this open space brings the feel of the outdoors inside As the reception begins, the head table is exquisitely decorated with a spilling floral garland. The mix of driftwood and Mirage acrylic chairs from Event Rentals Unlimited emphasize the rustic-meets-modern approach. A simple, buttercream cake with floral accents rests gracefully in a bed of hydrangea and roses. A groom's lounge has been assembled with an array of amazing finds from HotHouse's sister company, PropHouse. Perfect for after-dinner drinks and relaxation, lounge settings are excellent additions to receptions for guests that aren't quite ready to hit the dance floor or have been on it for one song too many. Nothing, however, gets guests ready to bust a move quite like bubbles, and a champagne bar is just the fix for that!
