183 A A Inspired by blue and white china and 1950's style, Kathy G. Mezrano of Kathy G. & Co. and Andy Hopper, designer at KG Designs, present a brilliant display of talent and taste at BridgeStreet Gallery & Loft. Taking the blue and white theme and adding a punch of bright hues puts a twist on this classic look that brings a fresh perspective to the table. The ceremony features exquisite art pieces hand-painted by Hopper that frame an altar created by a glowing candlescape and a floral header spilling with Phalaenopsis orchids. The bridal gown is the stunning Orion James by Heidi Elnora, which is made with a floral pattern jacquard that has been embroidered with rose golden thread that catches the light so delicately. The skirt, which has a bold blue lining for drama, is detachable for a quick costume change from ceremony to reception. Keeping the blue theme ever- present, the groom is wearing a navy tuxedo provided by Mr. Burch Formal Wear as well as a brackish feather bow tie from Bromberg's. For a modern take on the traditional bouquet, the bridal party bouquets are created with king protea, blue delphinium and roses. Downstairs, a fabulous feast of hors d'oeuvres welcomes hungry guests to a four-sided display that invites one to peruse the various offerings including: grilled shrimp with tomato saffron vinaigrette and Peruvian potatoes, Ahi tuna tartare with diced mango and cilantro infused oil served in a cucumber cup, and deviled quail eggs served in blue and white pattern spoons. Guest tables feature golden flatware, beautiful place settings and centerpieces that soar off the table from trumpet vases. Although the design is modern, the food brings you back home for true Southern comfort food that you can really sink your teeth into. e features a parmesan- crusted, double-stacked bone-in pork chop over sweet potato puree with bacon-wrapped haricot vert and red onion with an apple marmalade. The bar with custom fabric panels and a unique bar back display invite guest to enjoy a cocktail with the bride and groom to celebrate the momentous occasion.
