157 A A On the pristinely manicured landscape of one of Birmingham's gorgeous private country clubs, together, Cece Todd of Cece Designs and wedding planner Ashley Stork of I Do, I Do! bring glamourous femininity to life. Pink, navy and gold elicit a sophisticated color palette, perfect for creating an evening of elegance. Overlooking the rolling hills of Birmingham's outskirts, a chuppah has been created with large, wrought iron candelabras, beautifully draped fabric, a crystal chandelier and a packed floral header. Gold chiavari chairs line the aisle on the green. The bride is dressed in a sherbet textured silk organza tulle ball gown with bubble peplum by Lazaro (available at Bella Couture). The bridal bouquet is absolute perfection with a mix of David Austin roses, ranunculus, garden roses, anemones, veronica and more--all finished with pink silk and lace. In the club ballroom, guests refresh themselves with a Pink Lady martini or nosh on oysters Rockefeller before dinner begins. For that extra touch of detail, the bar has been adorned with custom decals designed by Amberly Shelton Paperie. At the bridal party's estate table, towering candelabras boast what almost appears to be a floating floral garland with taper candles. Clusters of flowers in julep cups and candles are scattered among regal settings of gold-rimmed china and goblets provided by Special Events. Nestled in the great bay window, the perfectly darling cake is framed by swagged drapery and is resting on glinting, navy sequined linen that catches the light of the sunset.
