33 A A Engagement Party Once he pops the question, it's time to celebrate the beginning of the planning process with your friends and family. Make sure to invite everyone you plan to ask to be in your bridal party! At BridgeStreet Gallery & Loft, Ashley Stork of I Do, I Do! Wedding Planning has created a soiree that speaks both to feminine and masculine design. With a spread of Southern chicken and wafes with fresh berries, beef and brisket sliders, a chacuterie board and more, guests can snack to their heart's content as they enjoy Moscow Mules and Mint Juleps. The Plan "For the engagement party, the inspiration came from the mint julep cups and copper mugs. I loved bringing the feminine and masculine together in this way. Engagement parties are typically fun cocktail parties with lots of food you can pick up and eat while mingling. Blue is a huge color for 2016 and I wanted to incorporate that but with a grey tone to complement the mint julep silver cups and still work with the copper elements as well. Traditionally, engagement parties are held by the bride's parents. They are to bring the families together to meet and get to know each other further. Make sure as you are planning this event that the fow of the space encourages this socialization. If the bride already has a vision for her wedding, maybe use a similar color scheme to give a little nod to what is to come. Lastly, include the groom!" - Ashley Stork, I Do, I Do! Wedding Planning Barware: Bromberg's. Catering: The Happy Catering Co. Floral Design: Stems & Styles. Linen: Decor to Adore. Planner: I Do, I Do ! Wedding Planning. Photography: J. Messer Photography. Venue: BridgeStreet Gallery & Loft. A mix of ranunculus, seeded eucalyptus and spray roses gathered loosely in a mix of julep cups and antique silver brings a fresh pop to the space without becoming overwhelming. Have several different containers to style into your food display and around the room for a fresh touch.
