ALTERNATE SEATING AREAS Eat, drink, and be merry, but provide a place for guests to step away from the merriment and catch their breath. "An intimate seating area offers guests the opportunity to have a conversation area away from the traditional guest tables and dance floor," says CeCe. "This trend is also extremely popular and effective when a couple has a large, open space that needs to be filled." "Lounge furniture is a great way to create a comfortable, cozy area," Majerik. "You can mix and match varieties for an eclectic look or simply use one style to provide a modern feel." THE ALTAR Beauty of the couple aside, couples wishing to up the wow-factor of their nuptials can include stand up statements such as arbors or backdrops. "Using arbors, arches, and backdrops is a surefire way for a bride to make a statement," says Todd. "Whether a brides chooses a rustic arbor, vintage doors as an entryway, or a ribbon wall as a backdrop for an altar, these options provide an opportunity for the designer, planner and bride to get creative." "I love recommending using oversized accents when appropriate for the setting," says Majerik. "Oversized candelabras always look amazing in churches and warm up the altar area." THEME Whether it be a romantic, Southern-traditional, or modern-rustic theme, use props and carefully chosen pieces to emphasize your point of view. "One of our favorite trends is to establish a complete theme for the big day," says Todd. "From the perfume bottles and sentimental signature pieces to create the perfect Gatsby theme, to unique sports memorabilia, books, or vintage cameras for a bourbon bar, cigar bar, or cake table that perfectly fits the personality of the groom, we strive to make memories for all in attendance." "Props are also a way to help reinforce your color scheme," says Majerik. "From the color of the lounge furniture to the color of the pillows, your choices can mimic that of the wedding party attire. You can also use props to add texture and depth, such as adding accent throws or using a rustic birch table as a sign-in, to replace a standard eight-foot linen covered table." FOOD AND BEVERAGE From linen selections to bar and food station design, the possibilities are endless! "The number-one way to stand out at your wedding, intimate party, or bridesmaid luncheon is through the use of vintage china," says Todd. "The classic mix of Southern charm, elegance, and tradition with each bride's personality allows for infinite possibilities." "Oversized antique liquor bottles add the perfect details to the ends of a bar or add dimension to any back bar," says Majerik. "Marquee letters can be customized to the couple's initials. Custom chalkboard art can be used in place of a program, menu, or to display a hashtag." Prop Shop Couples want their weddings to be a unique reflection of their personalities and passions. Through the use of rental props, linen, and china, couples can add touches to key areas of their venue that are expressions of themselves. Mandy Majerik of Prophouse and CeCe Todd of CeCe Decor point out which areas to highlight and share their secrets for creating an ultra swoon-worthy wedding.
