77 A W W hat sets them apart? She is a trendsetter. While Frontiero's utmost priority is to design an event that matches the needs, tastes and personality of the bride, she's not afraid to incorporate unexpected touches that will make guests stop and take notice. "I have basically committed my entire life to distinguishing myself as different from the rest in the southeastern circuit," says Frontiero. "If I had to sum up my design aesthetic in three phrases they would be: unique individuality, unexpected decor, and trendsetting design." First and foremost, she is an artist. "I am different from other wedding planners because I am an event designer. I am an artist first," says Frontiero. "I focus on design being a central part of the wedding planning process and take my brides to the next level with not only providing the standard services of a wedding planner, but also by having the ability and knowledge to create a consistent vision throughout the planning process." Her brides become friends. Frontiero credits friendship, communication and a mutual comfort level with her brides as the keys to her success. She notes that having an artist's perspective to really see and feel what they are envisioning is another advantage. "Most of my brides become very dear to me and I still keep up with them from this day forward," says Fronterio. "I like for my clients to feel comfortable in telling me anything they feel. I want them to trust me totally so there is no question in knowing the design we develop and create is the perfect match for them. Above all, I will be there to oversee the entire process and will take them through to the end." Biography: Jackie Frontiero comes from the family business, Dana's Floral Design, and has been around creative people her entire life. Her mother, Dana, has been a large source of inspiration for her, having brought Frontiero in to work with her to watch, help, and learn since the time that she first learned to walk. While attending Auburn University in Montgomery, Frontiero also helped with the family business. It was then that she realized her career path at Dana's Floral Design would continue, and her lifelong love of the business, coupled with skilled eye for design, would take her talents to the next level. She has been a planner and designer for 13 years. Her event and floral designs have been featured throughout the pages of Alabama Weddings Magazine for the past 10 years. She is a former member of AWEP and her work has been sought out for high profile events. Frontiero has also been featured on a variety of blogs and magazines throughout the Southeast. photography: nick frontiero photography location: the warehouse flloral: dana's floral design hair and make up: kim carmichael biles
